How can I get a library card?

If you live, work, or go to school in Lee or Itawamba counties, you can get a library card free of charge! Simply bring a photo ID and proof of address (if different from what is listed on the ID) to the Information Services counter and apply.

What if I don’t live, work, or go to school in Lee or Itawamba County?

You can still get a library card, but you will have to pay a $10 annual non-resident fee.

Can I access my account at home?

Yes! You will need your library card number as well as the 4 digit PIN number that was set up when you received your library card. Click on My Account to log in.

What else can I do with my account from home?

You can renew items you have checked out, place holds on items you want to check out, and view any fees you may owe.

Can I pay my fees online?

Unfortunately, no. We can only accept cash and check at this time, so all payments must be made in person.

How many items can I check out at once?

You can check out up to 50 items at one time. There is a limit of ten (10) movies or audio books at once.

How long can I keep what I check out?

Books and audio books check out for two weeks at a time. Movies check out for one week at a time. You can renew your checkouts twice (unless someone has placed a hold on the item).

How much are the late fees?

Late fees for books and audio books are $.10 per day per item. Late fees for movies are $.50 per day per item.

What if I need an item you don’t have?

If you are looking for a particular book or movie that we do not have in our library, give us a call or come by and we will see if we can find it within our consortium of libraries. If it is unavailable there, we may be able to borrow the item through Inter-Library Loan. These libraries will send what you need to us for you to check out free of charge!

Do you send faxes?

Yes! It cost $1 per page to send a fax. We can not receive faxes for patrons.

Can I print from my phone or home computer?

Yes! The Lee County Library now offers mobile printing! You can submit a print job from your phone, tablet, or personal computer three ways: email it to our printer, upload and submit through the PrinterOn app, or upload and submit in a web browser. You will have 24 hours to pick up your prints. Please see Mobile Printing for more information.
